Description:
Unrefined shea butter is a natural, creamy fat extracted from the nuts of the African shea tree (Vitellaria paradoxa). It is typically ivory to pale yellow in color and has a mild, nutty aroma. Because it is unrefined, it retains its natural vitamins (especially A, E, and F), essential fatty acids, and antioxidants, making it highly nourishing and moisturizing for skin and hair.

Usage Rate (Typical):

  • Body butters & creams: 5–30%

  • Lotions: 2–10%

  • Soaps (cold or hot process): 5–20% of total oils

  • Lip balms: 5–15%

  • Hair products (masks, conditioners): 2–10%

  • Direct skin application: Up to 100% (as a pure butter)

Benefits:

  • Deeply moisturizes and softens skin

  • Helps protect the skin barrier

  • Soothes dry, irritated, or cracked skin

  • Adds nourishment and shine to hair
